system for my Alarm Screens to work?
- How long will my

- What if I only
have a couple of windows I would like to keep open and I don't

Answers:
- Do I need an
alarm system for my Alarm Screens to work?
Answer: Yes, alarm screens must be connected to
your alarm system so that the control panel can monitor their
status. The control panel will activate the alarm siren if an
intruder tampers with your Alarm Screens. They can be used with any hardwired or
wireless closed circuit alarm system. Once they are connected to
your alarm system you can have your windows open to enjoy fresh
air and feel secure at the same time.

- How long will
my Alarm Screens last?
Answer: The life expectancy is directly related to
the amount of time the alarm screens are exposed to the
weather. Inside screens last much
longer than outside screens because they're more protected from
the damaging elements, such as sun light, rain, dirt, and
chemicals in the air. The average inside screen should last at
least 10 years depending on how much the window is open.

- Can Alarm
Screens be cleaned?
Answer: Yes, the recommended way to clean your alarm
screens is by first vacuuming them to remove most of
the dust and dirt and then washing them using a sponge with soap
and water. It is not recommended to power wash them with a hose
since the alarm screens have electrical connections.

have an alarm system. Is there anything I can use on those
windows for protection?
Answer: Yes, there is a new battery operated alarm
screen that can be used as a "local alarm" on
individual windows. It's called a "ScreenAlert".
